Here is an e-mail I sent to President Trump:
Dear Mr. President:
Your favorite supporter, here again, Aleta (Lee) Jordan. I loved your speech at the Heritage Foundation. Spectacular and moving.
Over time, I have seen indicators that my emails have been seen by you and may have helped. That is gratifying. This time I want to bring up the issues raised by protesters in the NFL, which they believe has to do with oppression of blacks and police oppression. This can be handled in a better way than protesting the National Anthem. (Umm, a no-brainer)
What if you told them when they arrived to come up with SOLUTIONS to the problems in the inter-cities?
And if they had to came up with some sane programs, and what if fifty NFL players showed up in one city at a time and implemented the solutions agreed upon from the meeting?
These guys are heroes and have power. Can you imagine the impact that would have on that city?
In your meetings with the NFL players, you would have players outline what the problems are in an inner city area, and outline solutions for education, gangs, jobs, and morality.
And help implement those solutions instead of just the idle protesting of our country?
The players make an average of two million dollars a year. Get them to put their money where their mouths are.
There is no inner-city that would not respond to fifty NFL football players showing up to help handle that area’s problems. Which is not police oppression, but drug gangs, hopelessness, and financial need.
